About Us

Coach Ballou

Aaron Ballou was born and raised in Kearney, NE and developed a love for Track and Cross Country while in High School at Kearney High .  After High School Coach Ballou ran Track at the University of Nebraska for 2 years before transferring to  Azusa Pacific University where he continued to compete in Track & field becoming a 12 time All-American and earning a degree in Liberal Studies.  After college Coach Ballou began teaching in Alhambra and Covina while coaching at Azusa Pacific University before moving to Temecula.  Coach Ballou has been coaching Track and Cross Country here at Murrieta Mesa for the past 5 years and has seen both the Cross Country and Track teams become some of the most successful teams on campus.

 

Coach Moya

Sandra Moya is a former athlete that represented her native Puerto Rico in the Sydney 2000 Olympics Games. 

Moya ran cross country and track in high school and continued running in college before becoming a professional middle distance runner for the Santa Monica Track Club and the Puertorican National team. While representing her country Moya competed in Central American, Panamerican and Iberoamerican Games as well as in World Championships.  Also, she took part in the European circuit for several years. After retiring from running, Moya wanted to give back and started coaching track at the high school level in Long Beach.

Coach Moya graduated from the Univeristy of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras with a degree in Public Communications.  Now lives in Murrieta with her husband and three daughters.
